All structures are ENGINEER-DESIGNED or CLIENT-SPECIFIC depending on the application. We are a medium-sized company that is very conscious of controlling our inventory and quality control, which in
turn helps us provide a quality product at an affordable price. We typically make use of a 3000 PSI MINIMUM STRENGTH concrete and GRADE 60 STEEL REINFORCEMENT in order to provide a solid structure. All structures are done by a well-trained & focused crew in order to maintain quality at an affordable price. Therefore we can provide a 10 YEAR WARRANTEE with each structure.
WHY A CURVED-BOTTOM TRENCH?
The importance of a curved-bottom trench drain is primarily for maintenance. With a curved-bottom trench drain the sediment washes to the bottom of the curve, instead of spreading out along the entire flat bottom
surface. If the trench drain was properly sized and sloped, the flow velocity in the bottom of a curved-bottom trench should reach 3-3.75ft/sec. on a regular
basis. When this happens, the sediment on the bottom of the trench becomes fluid and runs through the system keeping the trench drain clean and clear of debris. With a flat-bottom trench drain the flow is spread over a wider cross section, allowing the flow velocity to be less for the same volume of water. This causes the trench drain not reaching a scouring velocity as often, and therefore causes sediment to build up in the bottom of the trench drain.
